WHAT IS SLIME

Slime is a squishy polymer based material that can be made from glue and an activator solution. Slime is also known as a non-Newtonian fluid, that means it behaves both like a liquid as well as a solid, it flows but can also be held like a solid. It can be stretched, squished, rolled, shaped, moulded in so many ways. Mix-ins can be added to provide a wide range of sensory textures, scents and colours.

WHAT IS USED IN SLIME-INGREDIENTS:

Slime can be made from PVA glue, Activator such as ( Boric Acid, Starch & baking soda, saline solution), Food colouring, paint, scented fragrance oils, instant snow, air-dry clay and optional mix-ins such as glitter, charms, polystyrene foam ball for added texture. IMPORTANT NOTICE & WARNINING: DONNOT MAKE OR PURCHASE ANY SLIME, if you are allergic to any of the slime ingredients.

THE SCIENCE OF HOW SLIME WORKS

PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) glue made up of long chain molecules called polymers and is the base material. Theses long chain molecules in glue allow slide pass each other giving glue its running consistency. The activator combines with the glue and triggers a chemical reaction that cross-links the polymer chains forming a network mesh with viscoelastic properties giving slime its unique texture, allowing the slime to flow like a liquid but also behaving like a solid. This characteristic is known as a non-Newtonian liquid.

TOUCH SENSATION
The slime can often feels cool and slightly wet to the touch, similar to a thick gel. As you knead & manipulate it with your fingers & hands, you'll notice that it's incredibly malleable, able to stretch and bend in all directions.

AGE SUITABILITY: Suitable for children aged 5 and above, use under adult supervision where possible and at dedicated space to avoid slime getting on to furniture & carpet.

SLIME SAFE & FUN PLAY

Before using slime
Wash your hands before and after handling and playing with slime
Find and use a clean surface away from carpet, sofas and bedding
The slime will need loosening up -knead and stretch the slime to get the consistency the same
Be adventurous with your slime play-stretch knead, squish, roll, pull, splat, twist, flap, squeeze & form bubbles
Once you finish playing with the slime place it in an airtight container to prevent drying out.
Clean the surface and areas you have been playing on and make sure to wash your hands after slime play.

SLIME IS RECOMMENDED FOR AGES 8 AND UP. SLIME PRODUCTS SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO CHILDREN UNDER 8 WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION.

Our Original Slime workshop includes a wide range of colours, a mix-in, scent and shaving foam to make the slime fluffy. In Glow Slime workshops we add glow powder, a mix in, and scent (but we don't add shaving foam and it's a choice of only four colours!)

For the ultimate finale, kids work together to create a GIANT slime that's sure to leave a lasting impression. Every child makes leaves with two pots of slime!

SLIME CARE & AFTER CARE --TO ENSURE MANY HOURS OF FUN!!

To care for your slime, store it in an airtight container away from heat and sunlight to prevent drying out or being too runny & sticky. Make sure to knead, stretch, squish and roll your slime regularly to keep the texture and elasticity.

ALWAYS WASH & CLEAN YOUR HANDS BEFORE AND AFTER PLAYING WITH SLIME TO PRVRNT MIXING WITH OTHER SUBSTANCE OR FURNITURE. YOUNG PEOPLE SHOULD BE SUPERVISED WHEN THEY PLAY WITH SLIME TO EBUSRE SAFETY. REMEMEBR SLIME IS NOT EDIBLE (DO NOT EAT) WHEN NOT IN USE, KEEP YOUR SLIME IN AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER TO PREVENT FROM DRY OUT.

NOTE: The consistency of the slime may change over time, usage and place of storage and multicoloured slime may mix .

REMEDIES:

Here are some rescue remedies to prolong and restore slime use if too stick, runny or hard

Sticky Slime

Make ACTIVATOR (borax solution) by dissolving included borax with 1 cup of warm water. Add small amounts of the ACTIVATOR to your slime, continue to knead, until you achieve your desired consistency. Save the ACTIVATOR solution for future use.

BE CAREFUL! Adding TOO MUCH ACTIVATOR can make your slime hard. Do not put the borax powder directly into your slime.

Stiff Slime

Add a few pumps of LOTION or GLUE and knead. Repeat until your slime is at the desired consistency.

Cold temperatures will make your slime hard. If that is the case, place the sealed slime jar in a tub of warm water for a few minutes.

One slime care sheet and bag of borax will be provided with every order so slime can be maintained. Pre-made activator spritzers are available for purchase as well.
