Behaviour Expectations /Conduct rules

to be followed by anyone attending any of our sessions

• At Smells and Bangs Science we aim to always promote positive behaviour during any of our science sessions.  Consistent and clear behaviour expectations to engage and ensure children have a positive and memorable experience whilst learning about science in a fun way.

• As part of your booking and registration for your child or children to take part in any of our programmed sessions be it Demonstration sessions/ After School club / Workshops/ Weekend club and holiday clubs you agree that your child or children will follow our behaviour code of conduct as follows:

• To be mindful and kind to others

• To be supportive, polite, fair and patient

• To be respectful of property and equipment

• To follow instructions to work in a safe manner when undertaking hands-on activity.

•  To use polite and appropriate language when communicating with others

• Not to use abusive and inappropriate language

• To respect and treat others how they would wish to be treated.

• No aggressive behaviour towards anyone

• To take responsibility for their own actions and the choices they make during our sessions.

• Parents, cares and schools are responsible for making their children aware of our behaviour code of conduct prior to our sessions starting

• If a child’s persistent inappropriate or unacceptable behaviour persists or puts other children at risk or makes it difficult/impossible for the Club to function properly, as a final resort, Parents will be advised in writing, that the child can no longer attend the science sessions. -No refund will be given

• At Smells and Bangs Science, we do not and will not tolerate any kind of discrimination or bullying of any kind. We are responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of all children under our supervision during our sessions.
